Big Boy Milestones

I knew time flew by in the grand scheme of things, but being a Mom means that years turn to minutes and days to seconds.....Cade is growing up so much and makes me laugh more and more each day. His expressions are hillarious, his gestures-so sweet, and well, everything he does is just perfect! In a few months' time, we have pee-peed in the potty for the first time, he drives the car (down the drive), eats all by himself with the best of manners a 20 month old could have and pretty much does anything you tell him, and even what you don't (which can be quite scary at times!) We attended Isabelle's birthday party, just down the street and as of lately, I believe we are in the running for "Harry's customers of the week." Jared and Cade went 4 consecutive days for lunch while he was on Spring Break-little man LOVES his chicken, "ohtay!" A little of his vocabulary and some our most recent conversations: 1.) "Tank you" has been a regular for a while now, (4 months) as it was one of his first words. He says "tank you" upon receiving anything you might give him, he responds with a "tank you" upon him handing something to (you) and he is most polite at any drive-in as he is handed his food and jumps up and down, in the words of Jared, "like an idiot!!" 2. "Theese" (also known as "cheese"-we say this for real cheese and for cameras! 3. "Peeeethse" ("please") is one of his newest additions and is oh so very sweet! 4. "Uh Oh's" and "Oh no's" are quite frequent..... 5. "Hey Boot, Hey Meat" - our two English Bulldogs (child #s 2 & 3) 6. And my FAVORITE, " MUMMMMA"-I guess most little dainty girls and young boys start with a "Mommy" or "MaMa", but nope, not mine. It's a monsterous yelp from the next room, usually when he needs something or perhaps when he just wants to see me walk around the corner, only for him to wave his sweet little hand and say, "hey!" and grin that most precious grin. 7. Just the other day, within a matter of minutes of his feet hitting the floor from the bed, I told him to: "get the dog treats out of the dryer," stop "sprinkling flower seeds all over the house" and to stop "hitting the dogs with a wrapping paper roll." Oh for little boys! 8. He is quite certain in his "NO's" lately too. He is very quick to let you know when something doesn't suit him or when he just doesn't agree with the situation. 9. And lastly, any surprise is a great surprise. I come home Tuesday with 2 boxes of diapers, wipes, new sippy cups, toothpaste, forks and bath bubbles. All very staple items, mind you. Cade comes running into the kitchen with a, "Whoa, Ahhh" and then, with one hand in the air, screams, "Yeah, yeah, yeah!!!" Ahhh, I just love this little guy!
