Beach, Lake and Father's Day Weekend

Me, Gret and Mim spent this past weekend at the beach together! Mim had been down all week with our cousin Kylee, but they decided to spend their last night with us. Friday when I got down, we went straight to the pool at Marlin Quay, where we stayed for hours. It was just too miserable not to be in the water! We later had dinner in MI along the Marshwalk, listening to the music and just enjoying the inlet view. Saturday, we laid out all day, between our trips to the pool and the beach. Then, on Sunday, we got up, came home and headed for the lake to celebrate Father's Day! What a rough weekend!!!! Now, we're just counting down the days to our week at the beach with our ENTIRE FAMILY!!!!.....ALL 18 of us.....!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!

This past Sunday was my first Baby Shower! Several of my best friends got everything together and I am so thankful to all of them for making it so special! It was so great to visit with everyone for an afternoon, and not to mention all of the beautiful things my little Cade got! Even with all of this, I can't stop buying!!!! We are at 45 days and counting.....!!!! Jared is just positive he is going to make his arrival earlier than expected! Let's just hope we're all ready and NOT on vacation!!!! Luckily he did decide to make it thru vacation and we had another beautiful shower at Missy's a few days later! Her kids were like my own for so long, so we are now going full circle....she kept me, I kept her three, and soon enough my little Gray and Rab will be keeping my sweet Cade. It's awesome how life comes around. So thank you for all you did and continue to do!! We got some more beautiful gifts!!

1 Year Anniversary!

This past weekend, Jared and I celebrated our 1 Year Anniversary, much to our disbelief! We spent the weekend at Wild Dunes on the Isle of Palms. It was a beautiful weekend, wonderful weather and a great time had by all. We spent the afternoon Saturday down by the Pavillion pool on the Boardwalk, watching about 10 very young families with a total of close to 20 kids, mostly all under 5 years of age. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time just imagining our lives this time next year on our family vacation!! I had several conversations with a couple of mothers my age, just filling me in on their "tips" on motherhood! We were sad to see the weekend end so quickly, but we cannot wait for the 2nd year of our marriage and ALL that is to come with the addition to our family!!!!
