WELCOME TO PONTE VEDRA!!!

So we had never taken a road trip with Cade thus far, but for Memorial Day weekend, we decided to pack it up and head to SUNNY Florida! We had to wait until J got home from graduation Friday night, so we ended up leaving at 9:30pm and were hoping that by traveling at night, Cade would sleep. Well, he couldn't have been any better!! He didn't wake up until we pulled into the driveway around 2am and took him inside where he was greeted by a very loud, very little, black dog.....all of which he isn't used to. No, Leibo did not welcome us into his home very quickly. I believe it was his reluctance to the "little man" running around babbling, trying to grab his tail and swat at him for four days. Cade and Leibs, however, became pretty good friends before it was all said and done! I don't believe I looked at a clock until we decided to leave late Monday night! We had an awesome vacation.....full of sandy beaches, pools, bike rides, dinners by the water and unforgettable laughs. We love you Uncle Perry and Aunt Jess.......Just don't be surprised when you see us pulling up in the driveway.........ANYDAY!!!!

We arrived around 2am. Cade had been asleep since we left home at 9:30......needless to say he was a little confused!

There's that big smile!

Cade: "So YOU're Perry".......

He finally wound back down around 3am....

Despite this picture, Perry was quite glad to see us!

Breakfast our first day!

Shopping trip to Publix....Perry was getting his practice..

Beach Bound.....we couldn't ALL get there by bikes!!

My happy boy...so glad he's on the beach!!!

Hit the sand!

Cade helping with the umbrella...

2 happy boys=one happy momma!!

Oh yeah.....WELCOME TO PONTE VEDRA

"Sunscreen, Aunt Jess!"

Cade's first time on the beach......

.....And he did a head stand in the water!!! Gotta love a head full of suncreen covered in salty water and sand!!!!

It didn't take long for the clothes to come off! A soaked diaper full of sand isn't exactly easy to walk in!

My little naked baby LOVED the ocean!!!

"Mom, why does everybody else have their clothes on?"

Soooo proud of himself!

Every 10 month old should know how to fix a beach chair...

Dancing with Uncle Perry

Leibo says "who is this kid in my moma's lap?"

Every man should have multiple pairs of crocks!

Floyd family + one!

Poor Leibo's world was turned upside down for several days!

Cade found his new hiding spot....peek-a-boo!!

Chasing big pink floating fish and catching lizards......it's a dog's life...

SPOOL TIME!

I wish I had a video of this.....so Leibo goes for a swim (reluctantly, but his father makes him) and while he paddles, he tries to jump (out of the water, if you will) and catch it in his mouth as he's splashing....very hard to imagine, I know but it's hysterical!

Leibo was not a fan of the fins.....

"Mom, can I take this suit off yet?"

So relaxed!

Happy hour at the spool!!

"Mom, I know that lizard is over here somewhere...."

My sweet baby

Loves his Aunt Jess....sweet baby

"Could ya be, could ya be, could ya be loved......"

Dancing Uncle P-Funk style!

"Mom, it's been a long day chasing floating fish and lizards....."

I know I shouldn't, but I had too! This just describes our weekend....naked, full of sunscreen, and not a care in the world!!!!

Cade learned at a very early age that every man, when outside, should be free...

And that it's always better to pee-pee in the yard vs. a diaper.....

Finally took a break......

Swimming wears little boys out!

Beach Day 4.....sun, sun, sun!

Dinner at Lulu's

A very happy boy that he had his own plate....

Dinner at Lulu's

Perry trying to understand just HOW he didn't make it into the Hall of Fame.....

We say goodbye......until next time......

Aren't they, though! I love them....stole some of your quotes! It just makes the pictures so much more funny if you can tell half of the story behind them and with P, there's ALWAYS a story! Love you, hope you're week is going well!
