My "little baby" is not so little anymore. He's been crawling for about 3 weeks and just this week, we had his 6 month check-up - 16 lbs and 27 inches...tall and lean, the perfect size! They couldn't believe how strong he was. As the nurse went to "lay" him in the little scale seat, he, aghum, pulled up and started hitting the buttons. I kindly reminded her that she didn't have to be "so gentle" with him, that I found him just the day before "climbing" UP his crib. Yes, on the outside, climbing up and trying to swing around, one-armed, like a monkey. Much to my reluctance, the crib was lowered to the "last" level, down and I must admit that I did shed a little tear as I realized that my baby was not a baby anymore. He will soon be walking and chunking everything he can get his little paws on across the room. I often look out the sunroom windows and picture he and Jared "practicing" in the back yard. My life is flying by, as cliche as that may seem, but they just don't stay little long enough. I love you, sweet baby!!
