Happy Spring!!!!

I realize have been a slacker in blogging lately, so just to catch you up....Our Spring began with Easter, a beautiful day indeed. We of course, went to church and ended our day at Nanmomma's for a yummy Sunday dinner. This time next year, our Easter will be filled with Egg Hunts and Easter Bunny's, all with our little 10 month old! We JUST can't wait!

Just last Friday, much to my disbelief, we sent Mimi off to her very first PROM???? No way!!! But yes, she was "privileged" enough to go with her new (and very sweet) boyfriend. I must say she was absolutely gorgeous and I had a few tears in my eye just thinking how much she has grown and into such a beautful young girl at that. So proud of you "Aunt Mimi!!"

Amell Household Update

I just told my mom that I felt as though my stomach was a punching bag today! He's been moving around in there for well over a month but today, geez....you'd think he was trying to come outta there! His kicks have been making me jump, to say the least! I just can't help but to smile each time he does it, just to think that my little boy is in there and ready to make his way into the world just 88 DAYS FROM TODAY?!?!? AHHHHHH!!!!!! We are still working on everything at home, trying to get it just perfect for his arrival. We are actually getting ready to tear out our kitchen and start over! Our "little" house is great but right now, we have to do everything we can to utilize space. Keep your fingers crossed for us...that it gets done before July!

Update on my little man!!

Sorry it's been so long since an update...but we now have lots to share! First and foremost, my little man is growing and moving more and more every day! I failed to post the day I first felt him move, but it was such an awesome feeling. Ever since that day, it's been nonstop! Jared felt him not long after I did the first time, which for him, made it seem more real. He says he's already practicing swinging that arm!! Most days it seems he's swinging, hitting, kicking, flipping, head-butting, and anything else you can think of him doing in there!! I can't quite decide if, when he does all of that after I eat something, does that mean he likes it, or not?!?!?! Any words of advice!?! For example, I ate pepperonis for a snack yesterday and he went beserk-I thought I actually felt his little foot just sticking in my side. My first thought was that they were too hot and he didn't like him, until of course, Jared convinced me that he was his son and that pizza was one of his favorite foods, thus, he was loving the pepperonis! Go figure?
Thanks to our daily journal from Momma that we read each night, we now know that he sees light and responds to sounds. He also now has little eyelashes and eyebrows, hair on his little head, and he is breathing in through his nose. It's so amazing to learn of the changes that each day brings in his little developing life. If he only knew how much we loved him already! We are still working to make the nursery complete, however, his furniture is all in place and his bed is ready and waiting for him. I also might add that yes, he as a FEW clothes already!!! FEW?? Who am I kidding!?!? I don't think I've bought anything for myself in 2 months, yet I seem to find something new for him every other day!!! What can I say? I have no excuse, I just love little boys clothes!! (and shoes!)
We just finished up our wonderful Easter weekend where we spent time with many family and friends. We could only think of what this time next year would be like!! Our next Dr.'s appointment is this Thursday and we, again, are hoping for a wonderful report, just as they have been going so far! I promise to do better at keeping everyone posted!!!!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!

That's right, Jared finally broke the odds of the Ellen household of girls!!! So, as Jared says, our "Little Quarterback" is well on his way of making his debut in the world!!!!!!.....More to come......

Baby Amell Update

We went back to the Dr. today, whom by the way, I love! Dr. McDaniel is great...so personal and very in depth. We went thinking it was simply a, let's see how much you weigh and how much your uterus has grown kind of appointment. However, much to our surprise, she said, "Let's go do an ultrasound just for fun!" We didn't hesitate.....we love seeing our baby! The first (and last) time we had seen "it", it was just a little "pea!" Today, it had arms, legs, fingers and toes!! You may say, of course, babies have those, but we were so excited and most of all, thankful that we could see them! Although they are only about 3 inches long right now, we love them so much already! February 18th is our next visit, where we will find if we will be decorating in pink or blue. Don't ask me how or why, but I just know it's a boy. You may all prove me wrong in 3 weeks, but it's just my feelings! And, the fact that I just believe my poor Dad deserves a "Grandson." He's lived with TOO many women over the past 25 years! I still can't express how excited we are, BOTH of us, for all that is to come....I just can't keep myself out of baby stores, wanting to buy everything I see, and again, I am drawn to BLUE!!!! I have to tell you all, that you too, should hope it's a boy. Otherwise, I'm going to have the first female to ever play football since Jared's way of "talking" to our baby is to get on his knees and yell, "Blue-42, trips-left!" Yes, my husband calls out plays to our child......does this surprise you? I have gained about 4 lbs since being pregnant and she said I need to gain more. Hello!!!!!!!! I left the Dr. and went straight to Arby's!!!!!!!!! That just gave me more incentive to EAT! WAHOO!!!! Keep up, I'll let you know in 3 weeks......pink or blue????!!!!!

Happy New Year 2009!

The New Year was brought in pretty quietly by the Amell's this year! Although not too eventful, we had a great time spending it with family and friends! 2009 is going to be an incredible year, although last year, I would not have thought it could have been topped. I thought getting married was the happiest day of my life and it will be until the day comes that I will become a Mom, a long awaited dream of mine. Jared and I are thrilled more than words can express and God bless him for being such a wonderful husband to me, especially lately! I thought it couldn't get any better, but how things change! So, Happy New Year, it's going to be an exciting one!!!!!

I'M GOING TO BE A MOM!!!!!!

Yes, it's true, I'm going to be a MOM!!! WAHOO!!!! I had my first official Dr.'s vist Monday, December 1st, and what a way to begin the month.....I was already 7 1/2 weeks!! We even heard a HEARTBEAT!!!!! It's so amazing and what's even more is to learn what is going on each and everyday as my little one develops inside of me! My mom bought us an amazing book, in which "DR. J" as I now call him, is reading to me every night. It details each day how our baby is growing and developing into a beautiful little boy/girl??? Which will it be?!?! We have to find out, as of course, I will HAVE to have everything ready and awaiting when its' time for them to arrive!
