Baby Showers!

This past Sunday was my first Baby Shower! Several of my best friends got everything together and I am so thankful to all of them for making it so special! It was so great to visit with everyone for an afternoon, and not to mention all of the beautiful things my little Cade got! Even with all of this, I can't stop buying!!!! We are at 45 days and counting.....!!!! Jared is just positive he is going to make his arrival earlier than expected! Let's just hope we're all ready and NOT on vacation!!!! Luckily he did decide to make it thru vacation and we had another beautiful shower at Missy's a few days later! Her kids were like my own for so long, so we are now going full circle....she kept me, I kept her three, and soon enough my little Gray and Rab will be keeping my sweet Cade. It's awesome how life comes around. So thank you for all you did and continue to do!! We got some more beautiful gifts!!

1 Year Anniversary!

This past weekend, Jared and I celebrated our 1 Year Anniversary, much to our disbelief! We spent the weekend at Wild Dunes on the Isle of Palms. It was a beautiful weekend, wonderful weather and a great time had by all. We spent the afternoon Saturday down by the Pavillion pool on the Boardwalk, watching about 10 very young families with a total of close to 20 kids, mostly all under 5 years of age. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time just imagining our lives this time next year on our family vacation!! I had several conversations with a couple of mothers my age, just filling me in on their "tips" on motherhood! We were sad to see the weekend end so quickly, but we cannot wait for the 2nd year of our marriage and ALL that is to come with the addition to our family!!!!

Baby, Baby!

We have still been busily working to get everything ready for the arrival of our little one, now almost just 70 days away, and counting!! We still have a little to do, however, for the most part, it's coming together smoothly! Yesterday was an amazing day, as we saw our son for the first time, well, for what "seemed real!" We did the 4-d Ultrasound and it was truly amazing. He definitely has Jared's mouth, we all came to that conclusion. And yes, I say all because we ALL went...Me, Jared, Momma, Daddy and Gret! It was so special to have them there and they enjoyed it as well. Of course, Mom cried, Gret was amazed and I think Dad was just so glad to see that it was still, for sure, a boy!! He looked happy, snug and healthy, and I pray he remains that way. We don't know how truly blessed we are to have healthy children. Here are a few pictues from the past appointments and our little boy, as he continues to grow and grow! We just can't wait to kiss his face!!!! (Don't be alarmed, the circles on his forehead are the soundwaves from the ultrasound...we asked the same question!)
